Trail Tamers Gaining Ground
Originally printed in the Post-Herald, November 23, 2005 FAIR HAVEN - The Sterling Trail Tamers have been steadily working to improve their club and are proud to announce that they now have their own property, complete with a clubhouse and a website with everything and anything needed to be a member or research information.
The new property is conveniently located on Onionville Road in Sterling, right off of the Cayuga County Trail, making it easily accessible for members coming by road or by trail. "We are very excited and are looking forward to holding club functions as soon as renovations are complete, and we encourage everyone to take advantage of the website, www.sterlingtrailtamers.com," stated President, Ken Hall. There have been multiple work dates already, involving framing and enclosing the existing pole barn, as well as needed trail maintenance. With the help of many volunteers and donated supplies, the project has been steadily progressing. "The club is accepting any donations of unwanted building supplies, standing timber, or any other unwanted items to aid us in the clubhouse renovations," said Hall. The club would like to remind everyone that the Cayuga County Trails do not open until December 21, and please respect the hunters' and landowners' rights.
The Trail Tamers will be hosting their annual Christmas Appreciation Party, inviting old and new members as well as the landowners in their area. "We really appreciate all the time and effort that these people give, and this is just one way for us to say thank you to all of these wonderful people. Without them, the progress of this club wouldn't be possible," said Hall. For details on this and other club functions, membership information, etc., visit www.sterlingtrailtamers.com. The Trail Tamers remind you to Ride Safely and Happy Snowmobiling! |
